Thank you for such a lovely class~
Maren was absent
Caitlyn completed lesson 46 – wow – and now has a new teacher, “Eric Satie”. She told us some interesting things about Tchaikovsky’s life. Great work Caitlyn. You are moving along so quickly.
Maren completed lesson 25. She played “Mary had a big fat sheep” with a beautiful hand position. I’m really proud of you, Maren :)
Sarina worked on lesson 53. Think about each note before you play it – don’t guess ! Is the new note higher or lower than the present one? is it a step away or a hop away? which hand do you need?
Simon needed a music holiday and played MusIQ games. This is also a learning experience. BUT SIMON ….. please don’t be discouraged because I keep reminding you about your hand position. You play so well, but if you fix your hand position, you will be able to play really well. It’s good to take a break when you need it. Enjoy the MusIQ games.
Luke worked on lesson 11 and is doing well but needs help with high / higher / highest ( the same with low…). He will play a note and then have to play a note either higher or lower but because he has taken his hands away from the keyboard, he doesn’t remember which note he played. Try to keep your hand on the keyboard until you are done. I know this is difficult – you are doing very well.
Sophie completed lesson 48. She is working with Eric Satie. She played “By the Sea” and “Alouette”. Great work Sophie.
What a great group of children – they are a joy to be with.
See you next week – Catherine
