Hello Everyone
Today Maren and Luke were absent and we missed their smiling faces.
Sarina completed lesson 53. She did a great job telling us all about Tchaikovsky’s life, and about the meanings of the Italian words, “piano” and “forte”. I LOVE your beautiful hand position. Bravo Sarina – such great work !
Caitlyn completed lesson 44. She is working on compiling a list of songs she may perform at our year end recital! She played Hot Cross Buns and Upside Down Buns. Your beautiful hand position will make playing smoothly and quickly very easy for you. Excellent work, Caitlyn.
Simon worked on lesson 70. I suggest that he stands up when he plays so he can see the keys and so it’s possible to create and maintain a good hand position. Other student play standing up. The keyboard should be somewhere near waist level. Try hard to create your lovely hand position and KEEP YOUR HAND IN THAT POSITION WHEN YOU PLAY Your hand should stay put with only the fingers moving. I know this is so difficult. Very good work, Simon.
Sophie completed lesson 47 and has a new teacher! Next week please tell us something about Eric Satie, your new teacher. Sophie also played The Farmer in the Dell. Sophie you are doing so well and your hand position is beautiful. Bravo!
I hope you all have a lovely spring week.
See you next week
Catherine
